I live in Ukiah and do shop at our local Safeway on occasion, but what I am really impressed with is that they take many of their food items that are close to expiring but still very good, like, breads, premade salads, bags of salad mix, frozen meat, eggs, desserts, etc to our local senior center for anyone to take home. It's an absolute blessing for so many seniors on a very tight budget. I am wondering if your store does the same. Even our local Lucky store brings things in.
