Burlington Coat Factory Warehouse Corporation commonly known as Burlington, is a clothing and footwear retailer with over 800 stores in 44 states and Puerto Rico. Burlington headquarters are located in Burlington, New Jersey. The company was founded in 1924 as the Burlington Coat Factory, a women's coat, and raincoat factory, by Monroe Milstein and Henrietta Milstein. The company gradually began to sell sportswear, suits, shoes, accessories, children's clothing, and more. Burlington currently employs more than 40,000 people across all of its locations. It is the third largest discount retailer after TJX Companies and Ross Stores.
Burlington stores usually have large retail spaces and often occupy several floors of a building. The store has departments for women's and men's clothing, shoes, furniture, household goods, and many others. Goods for children also occupy a considerable place in the store. Burlington sells children's clothes and shoes, toys, baby carriages and bicycles, dishes for children, and many other products. Price and other details may vary based on product size and color. Burlington offers both: the simplest and most practical things, as well as clothes and bags from famous designers. The company often donates parts of the profit from the sale of its product to the social needs of the poor, the sick, etc.
Following the success in the USA, Burlington expanded globally and is now operating stores in Mexico and China. Most Burlington stores in the US open at 8 AM and close at 10 PM, Monday to Friday. The operating hours for weekends are the same. Before visiting, it is always better to check the exact hours using the Burlington store locator on this page.
